Hello everyone. Hope you’re doing okay. Just saying hello and happy new year. We’re going to do some recording soon…. xxx
Looking forward to being back on tour later this month as part of Independent Venue Week! Xxx
What a year. What a boost.
Here’s a quick note to say Thank You so much to everyone that has bought our record, thanks to everyone that has come to a show. It’s been so so great to play in so many great places with so many great people. Thanks of course also to Memphis Industries, Moshi Moshi management, Viaduct Promotions and Pitch & Smith. What a team.
To celebrate – we’ve announced some more shows for next year. So if you live in or near Glasgow, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Chester, Cambridge, Coventry, Glasgow, Corsham, Margate, London, Reading, Totnes, Lyme Regis, Bristol and Leicester then see you soon!
Hope you are all looking after yourselves and each other.
Lastly, PLEASE get out and vote tomorrow. And even better if you can PLEASE help other people get out and vote tomorrow – knocking on the door on election day is the most important day. This election is so so important. We MUST look after each other and out for each other by getting this horrendous lying government out of here.
Find out where near you needs you here.
Happy holidays and looking forward to seeing you all soon!
Love Rozi xxx

Thank you to all the millions of band members – Gerard, Amaury, Rachel, Jamie, Leon, Dan, Raphael, Neil, Gus, Marcus, Emma, Nathanael. I can’t believe it. Thank you hugely also to Memphis Industries, Minna Halmetoja, Viaduct Promotions, Pitch and Smith, Moshi Moshi and everything else I’m surely forgetting. 😴 xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Hello everyone.
Our new album What A Boost is finally here.
It was so brilliant to work with so many friends and inspiring people in so many different ways in the process of making this album and all the stuff around it. Gerard, Amaury and Jamie and Neil who we made the last album with are all on this one too. Friends reunited! And with lots of new additions and game changers of other people we collaborated with too. Raphael Desmarets , Sam Amidon, Rachel Horwood and Joel Wastberg to name but a few who all helped to steer it into new and surprising places with their contributions.
We recorded it like the last album Friend at The Total Refreshment Centre in London but then also some more with Chris Cohen in LA on a couple of days off whilst on tour with This Is The Kit and also worked with Joel Wastberg (Sir Was) on a couple of other tracks back in London at Rumbaba and Kluster Rooms Studios. It’s a record of many parts!
I loved drawing on the mean skills of pals to help with the other stuff surrounding this record. The front cover was by taken Jack Barraclough who has made some videos for us in the past. We didn’t know it would be the front cover. We were wandering round Wormwood Scrubs park in West London on a freezing day. The limited GLOW IN THE DARK Dinked Edition screen printed cover was done by illustrator and childhood pal Jon Mcnaught. Are there any left ? Check here.
The video for Conditions was made by Ed Tucker who i met on the bus on my first day at art school when i moved to Bristol from Winchester when i was 18. We filmed it when we were on tour playing a show in Morecambe. I really really love this video.
I’m so excited about this album coming out. Im terrified too!
I’m doing instores this and next week and we’re playing lots of shows as a full band soon. We’ll have the new album for sale. Also a brand new t shirt designed by Andrew Kerr. Please do come and say hello somewhere!
Thanks a mill for everything everyone! See you somewhere soon.

I have a new single to follow on from previous single Symmetrical. It’s called Conditions and you can listen to it in various ways here.
Conditions is about hunting for drafts in a well insulated house. Searching for the rooftop without any frost on a freezing day . Wondering about the heating situation. Inside feelings. Outside feelings.
We recorded the guitar and drums of this song in LA with Chris Cohen on a day off whilst on tour with This Is The Kit. And then spent the next year adding bits here and there. It was a song I tried to record before that needed a bit of a new prism applied to it. Maybe re-recording a song about minus freezing weather in the 35 degree Californian sun was just what it needed. Warm the place up a bit. Gerard added his synths in Glasgow and I added quite a bit of Jupiter (that I recently acquired) in London. Alabaster dePlume’s saxophone appears right at the end. Both Symmetrical and Conditions are taken from my new album What A Boost out 5 April on Memphis Industries.
